(Disclaimer: I got this set free of charge from Aikyou. Opinions are my own, d’uuh.)
All set for this spring I got the chance to try on a really lovely new set: The bra/bralet “Jackie” in rose and the matching pantie “Carine” in rose.
Aikyou kindly informed me that the Bustier Jackie runs smaller than Stella but considering my very small bust I still opted for a size S.
The bralet Jackie, available in black, white and rose for 49,90€ got one of my favs really quickly: Not really pink, not white, not grey - it really depends on the light. The chosen fabrics are quite similar to the Stella I already own, a really soft but still supportive cotton jersey. Compared to Stella this bralet runs smaller in the band which is good because it is really a perfect fit for me now. The criss cross straps, that were a bit too long for me in Stella, are at a perfect length for me now too.
Fit and Design
The bralet is, like Stella, made without a clasp so you can just slip it on. It’s really plain but not in a bad way, the bias binding of the cups is also used as fabric for the straps and for me, that’s a big part of its charme. Elastic satin bias binding for the cups and straps - that’s nice design. Sleek, pretty, no frills no bows!
The only thing that one can say against the sleek straps is that they are not adjustable. If you need them shortened it would be quickly fixed with a few stitches though.
As mentioned the Jackie runs smaller than Stella, as well in the band as in the cups. For me it’s perfect! The soft soft broad elastic band still doesn’t cut in on my torso and provides a bit of support, nothing jiggling here. I’m very impressed that the cups are designed in a way that although they only feature one seam they don’t form my breast into a cone shape, which I often encounter in this kind of style. Awesome! In my case the constructed breastpoint lies exactly where my nipples are, the cups don’t cut in, everything is nicely clothed!
Of course this bralet is not my go to bra on days where I need strong support. But especially since it runs small I do get a fair share of support from it. And that it’s really really comfy I already mentioned, right? ;)
I also got the matching slip Carine (available for 29,90€ in black, white and rose) in size M. I just don’t find any pics of me in it I like, so here you go with some detail shots and the official pic ;)
What I find very refreshing is that the slip is very high cut on the side, whilst you have a lot of fabric on the back so my bum is all covered. Combine that with the round cut on the side and it looks gorgeous. Again made from softest cotton jersey and no cutting in my skin!
