On Sunday 28th of July and kinda short notice I went to the Munich Dessous and Swimwear Trade Show.
After a bit of a shock (really, Germany, your train fares are unbelievable expensive) I'm now so so happy, that I went nonetheless! It was such a great experience.
Sunday morning and off I went. (I really should "able to put on decent make-up in weird locations" on my resumée).
Together with Monika Plewa, owner of Austria's only Brafitting Store "Dessous Avenue" in Vienna and her Shop Assistant and Bra Fitter Carmen I was able to experience this Trade Show first hand.
Trendwatch SS 2015
Although I was a bit overwhelmed with all the stuffs I did observe some trends troughout all the collections.
There's a lot of pastel colours on their way to us, front line pastel turquoise <3. And again, a lot of leopard print and animal prints in general. Bathing suits apparently come a lot in zebra-esque patterns (most often paired with red accentuation in Panache and Eveden) And yellow - a LOT of sunny yellow.
The maybe biggest trend I saw, all through the brands, were Crochet Looks and Lace/Crochet Looks. Starting from really nice laces to laser cuts up to string tangas that really remind me of the crochet table cloths my granny used to make. Not REALLY my style, tbh.
And, flower prints are all in again at Eveden and Panache - nothing new there, I guess they just can't BE without their flower prints ;)
Since we've only been there one day we couldn't watch everything. When inspecting other brands we tried to concentrate on whether they offered a big sizing range and were possible as brafitting bras. And we had some nice surprises!
We more or less stumbled upon Da Capo - a German Brand, producing bras starting at 30 Bands and up to H Cup (European sizes). Some bras are available up to 46 bands. We really liked both fit and quality and I hope to be able to further look into one of the sets!
Fauve lovers don't despair - Freya is bringing back one of the popular Fauve cup styles: Unpadded cup with one vertical seam in the cup only, bringing the bust up with a gentle push all without push up pads. It's coming in a lovely turquoise and looks gorgeous on the model! I sadly forgot to take a pic, so you for the time being just have to take my word on it...
Although I was pretty beaten by all the many impressions I saw some items I really loved. Some of these gems for you:
I think I could've packed half the collection of Huit Lingerie - finally they aren't putting mega-pushup pads into all of their bras anymore. There will be a lot of unpadded cute bralets in bright colours as well as cute padded looks (all the crocheting). I also found my absolute fav there: A kitsch as kitsch can bralet with wires: IN LOVE.
Just one store to the right, still at the Eveden Group, there was a cutesy by Freya. Fabric is a very light pastel turquoise!
Big Bands and Big Cups:
With Elomi not really being a rising star (seriously, why not do some more pretty designs? *sadpanda*) I really loved the ULLA designs. The beautiful model on the webpage also was present at the trade show and the lingerie sets did really look gorgeous on her.
